In other Bastaad news, Caro was forced to retire from her second round match against Sofia due to an injured shoulder. Now before everybody gets all "WHY THE FUCK WAS SHE PLAYING BASTAAD ON CLAY", it turns out that she signed a two year deal with the tournament in 2008. She couldn't play last year because of the Copenhagen tournament, so she kiiiiiinda had to show up and play this year.
No news on the severity of the shoulder injury, but here's hoping we don't see Caro until the Cincy/Toronto swing. I'm really hoping this gives her lots of time to hang out with her celebrity friends and tweet some quality humblebrags. ENTERTAIN ME, CAROLINE.
