I think it's pretty funny that the first match I ever saw on European red clay will have been Masha. Then again, it's pretty fitting.
I sat in for her match against Makarova. I would tell you what happened in that match but (a) you already know because it happened over a week ago and (b) I wasn't *actually* watching the match. Why wasn't I watching the match?

Sasha is the greatest addition to the WTA since Sergey (RIP). Dude is a fistpumping MACHINE. I love watching him get so into Masha's matches. We're talking every. Single. Point. For the most part it seems like Maria just ignores him, which only means that he'll take the time to quietly fistpump TO HIMSELF. It's the cutest thing ever.
