The lovely Craig Hickman writes up his experience as credentialed media in Miami. In case you missed it, Craig is the one who broke the story about Kim refusing to play in Asia.
Give it a read. If you've ever wondered what it can be like in the press room, Craig's thorough account is as good as being there. And to anyone who thinks his experience involved a flurry of isolated incidents, I assure you they are not. I'll never forget the day when I overheard a female journalist loudly instruct her journalism student interns, "If pretty wins, it's a story." Not "if the #1 wins, it's a story." Just if "pretty" wins. She went on comparing Caro to a Barbie doll and how people "love Barbie dolls". Loudly. In the middle of a press room. I guess finding a small, dark, smoky room was too much to ask?
So prepare yourselves for another generation of the same, folks!
Standing slow-clap, Craig. Or, as we say in the blogger-biz: Clickity-clack, homeslice.
