One of my favorite Twitter accounts to follow is @humblebrag. What's a humblebrag? Well I think the etymology is pretty fucking easy to figure out but in case you need an example, this would be a classic humblebrag: "AUGH. My back is so sore from carrying this backpack full of gold! I'm so dumb!" It's basically a brag shrouded in a transparent film of humility.
Get it? Cuz' you can't see the humility. You only see the br-- oh never mind.
Anyway, there is no better humblebragger in the tennis Twitterverse than Caroline Wozniacki. And I mean that with all the love I care to muster. I mean, if you were 20 years old, blonde, cute, not a social misfit, and sitting atop your chosen industry, chances are you would have a pretty charmed life, too.
Which is why her tweets have been amusing me to no end lately:
Now, to be fair, not all of these are humblebrags. Most of them are just...brags. I was trying to be nice. Either way, they're totally unintentionally hilarious.
If I could create a spambot that tweeted something every time Caro sent out a tweet it would simply say this: "Tough life huh, Caro?"
