P Mac takes the opportunity to set the record straight on DYoung. Which...I still think is weird. I mean, other than using this as an opportunity to send a message to all the USTA youngsters, what's the point? Why throw this kid (ok, he's not a kid, he's 21 years old) under the bus and air out his dirty laundry? You won't withdraw USTA support so the only stick you have is public shaming?
Sure, I guess he kind of asked for it when he went stupid on Friday, but still. Why not be the adults here? Organizing a conference call because Donald Young, someone no one outside of the tennis world knows exists, said "Fuck you"?
Anyway, apparently DYoung has apologized to the relevant parties.
That said, there defintely came a point today while my Twitter stream was lighting up with presser quotes when a lightbulb flicked on in my head: Why do I care? I have already spent more time thinking about Donald Young and the USTA in the last four days than I have in the last four years.
So yeah. I'm done. This whole thing made me feel icky.
