Look, Serena looks great and I'm glad that she's in the ad. But you'll have to pardon me if I'm a little (nay, a lot) uncomfortable with the best female tennis player in the world being asked to throw on some S&M gear and bounce around as sex noises play in the background in order to sell a fucking video game ABOUT TENNIS. Sell Serena. Don't sell sex.
I know this says more about the testosterone-driven gamer culture but it's just disappointing. I'm not disappointed with Serena. I'm just disappointed that the ad agency thought this was the best way to sell the game. They're probably right, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. She deserves more respect as a top-flight athlete.
