With Nole clinching a spot for Team Serbia in the Hopman Cup finals, our lovely duo went into the mixed doubles in full exhibition mode. The Djoker was in full effect, dropping to the fetal position at the net, trying trick shots, and Ana was a smiling, giggly schoolgirl throughout. It was absolutely glorious.
But the exchange of the match was when Nole, with Ana serving, started deliberately wiggling his ass at Ana while she readied to serve. She hit a huge fault and stood with her hands on her hips staring him down (I mean, "staring down" in an Ana way, which is to say "giggling embarrassingly"). She would drop her serve and make a move to literally kick Nole's ass.
And Nole didn't let her forget it in the post-match interview.
Overall, a good day for the Serbs. Ana lost her highly anticipated match against Justine 64 63, but she didn't play horribly, had her break chances, and the Justine was just steadier. I think the scoreline and the match was a good reflection of the gap between them at the moment.
