Sam couldn't seem to find her range early on and Wicks was serving well and getting her out of position in the rallies, but at 4-5 she seemed to step it up, lock down her shots, and play with aggression. She'd take the match 75 64, fighting off not only Wicky, but the ball kids, who kept tossing the balls right at her feet as she was walking towards them. Yes, let's break the ankles of Australia's only hope at a Grand Slam trophy. Good idea, kids.
