Here's a funny stat. I have attended eight WTA tournaments over the past three years. Serena's been at one of them (Stanford, 2009).
Now, only a week after I announce my 2011 schedule, she pulls out of Hopman Cup and is looking even more questionable for the Australian Open.
No word on who will replace her but a formal announcement will be made tomorrow. But from a selfish perspective I'll just say that Andy and Laura's group has gotten a tick easier, no?
