Because if there's one thing I've learned over the past three years, nothing gets journos salivating more than an "undeserving" WTA Number 1. Do I like watching her play? Nope. You honestly couldn't pay me to sit through an entire match. But I'm not going to piss on her just because she was able to win consistently throughout the year, something no one else on the tour seemed able to do.
