Sigh. She got broken once. These days, the way Ana's game has been going, that would seem to signal a sure-fire win. But not today. Because as we've come to learn, it's just never easy when this kid takes the court. She wasn't returning well, couldn't break Shahar's serve, and squandered a 3-0 lead in the first set tiebreak, losing the next 7 points.
As has been the case in Ana's pressers, the post-match presser was therapy central. Only this time it was clear that this loss really really hurt. It hurts to even read.
Hang in there, Ana. I've said it before and I'll say it again: a few points here and there and you're on a roll. You just have to keep plugging away.
