Boys, screw those little "official tournaments" you've got going on in Auckland and Sydney. Only pissants play those, pissants who couldn't get into the real party down at Kooyong.
("Kooyong" is so much fun to say. Kooyong Kooyong Kooyong.)
The action at the AO's old stomping grounds starts the 13th, so... tomorrow. Even though it's still the 11th. And... screw it. Time is an arbitrary measure, anyway.
Today the boys lined up for their press conference, looking like they were having a hall meeting at their college dorm:
Apparently Novak took this opportunity to say that he wants the men's tour to have a shorter schedule, presumably akin to the women's schedule. It's pretty hard to argue at this point that a 3 week off-season is in any way sufficient.
Roger's not playing Kooyong this year, after "early" losses in his last two events. He's being replaced by Ivan Ljubicic. I fully recognize that I might be the only person on Earth who thinks this is a decent trade (including Ivan).
Supposedly the draw is here, but it doesn't make any sense. Either it hasn't actually been done yet, or someone's going to need to 'splain it in the comments.
