(warning: i'm a bit tipsy right now)
Yay! The pretty girl won. She beat Vania King 64 46 61. Apparently her backhand and toss were wonky. But tell me something new. A win is a win and she'll fight another day. She'll play the winner of MaKiri/Stosur. I love you, Sam, but I gotta root for MaKiri, even though that's the most pathetic thing ever.
In other good news, Dani beat Melanie Oudin (sorry, Mel) 67(3) 62 62. I hate to root against Melanie but it's nice to see Dani beating quality competition. Dani went on to team with Ai to win their dubs match. I'm sure there were smiles all around.
And in other news, even if it means I get my ass handed to me by German teenagers, I would like to state for the record that I want Kimiko's body when I'm 38 years old. She lost to Sabine but she's still an inspiration.
Finally, after brokering the release of the US journalists from North Korea, Bepa returned to beat Peng Shuai, 36 63 76(6). Sure, the US press gives credit to Slick Willy, but we all know what's up.
Also, Sorana took out the loud mouthed Burrito in three, and CanWoz beat Bethanie in a tight two setter, 75 75.
