Marat lost to LaMonf, 62 36 62. And just like last time he lost to LaMonf, Marat actually kinda almost maybe tried to win this match. He was firing himself up (in a positive way) and playing and serving well. And then the clock turned midnight and all went back to normal.
Marat's loss was the cherry on top of an awesome day that saw Marin bow out to Youzhny in three sets (what happened to Marin in the third?), Dima forced to retire to injury, and Samurai-less Sam fell to Petzschner.
