Despite suffering from the same "Good Lord Is That Shirt Eating Him???" dilemma that only comes from living in the States for far too long, Dima still brought his game and finished up a nice grass court run by beating Fancy Dancy on his way to the Eastbourne title. Unfortunately the win came at a price: Dima twisted his ankle towards the end of the match. He hung in to win but let's hope he can get back to 100% in the next few days.
On the ladies' side, Boots picked up her second trophy of the season, beating the Gypsy 76 75.
Apparently the Gypsy forgot Boots' name during the ceremony. Everyone had a nice chuckle.
So nice runs for Dancey and Gypsy. Hope you heal up, Dima. And I'm glad you proved you can play on grass, Boots, but I don't think you're going to have a great run at Wimbly. She just doesn't have the firepower (yet) to hit through people.
