I seriously could not be happier for Sam Stosur. I've never thought of her as a clay court player, but like Maria, if there's a person out there who can't find something to admire in Sam's comeback from Lyme disease, I don't want to know about it.
A very solid win over Sorana Cirstea in her first (singles) Slam quarterfinal to make it to her first (singles) Slam semi. What a fabulous tournament for her, and even if she goes no farther it should boost her ranking a lot and put her much closer to where she belongs in the tennis heirarchy. Well done, Sam!
