I'm not going to go into the post match idiocy that went down. Let's focus on how classy these two guys were during their match. It was extremely high quality and both guys showed a lot. Amer Delic, who made it into the tournament as a lucky loser, played his game and played well. His serve is huge and I love the one handed backhand. He didn't give this away to Nole at all, and who knows what would have happened if that ball at 3-1 in the tiebreak had actually landed in. As it was, Nole took that point and fought his way back to take the fourth set breaker and the match, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (4).
Nole showed a lot of heart and fight in this one. And in the end the guys were gracious and kept the crowd in check. Nole's on court interview:
