Nice article in the Times Online on Baby K's "niceness". She's SUCH a dork.
Ana Ivanovic could easily join the debate after spending more time than any other woman at No 1 since the retirement of Justine Henin in May last year, but she would never dream of being so presumptuous as to put her credentials forward.
Last year’s Australian Open runner-up went on to claim her first Grand Slam at the French Open four months later, but off the court Ivanovic blanches at the prospect of being confrontational. She even worries that she is too nice. “I really don’t like fights,” she says. “I would never want to get into anything like that, because it doesn’t fit into my personal rules.
“I have always believed there is no need to be unpleasant to people just because you want to be good at tennis. One thing I would love to achieve is to be mean and have winning instincts when I’m playing but be a pleasant, well- mannered person off the court. I am still learning how to do it correctly; there is a fine line between being nice and caring too much about what other people feel."
Thanks to BabyPanda for finding it.
