Federer controls his own destiny – if he wins, he will reach the semifinals. If he loses, Simon will reach the semifinals. Murray is guaranteed to advance to the semifinals, but will do so as the second-place finisher if he loses to Federer and the first-place finisher if he defeats Federer.
