UPDATED: Jesus, Can Ana Not Keep ANY Streak Alive?

All credit to JJ, she absolutely deserved this win.  And in a way I'm glad she's got that "PWNED" tag off her back.  That said, come on.  She didn't play an in form, Ana in a pressure situation.  So I'll personally remove that tag when I see that.  Besides, 6-2 is still PWNAGE.

But JJ was moving great and for 90% of the match she played brilliant aggressive retrieving tennis.  Ana hit some shots that should have won her a number of rallies, but JJ got them back.  It makes you wonder how the heck Ana beat JJ on clay.

As for Ana, the loss isn't a shocker (I did after all predict it).  I know everyone was all up on her after she won Linz, but let's be honest.  She won Linz beating none of the top 5 players, and if you actually watched the match, she was 100% back in form.  It's just that she got away with a lot because of the quality of her opponents.  But maybe she can play her way back into this tournament and get another crack at JJ in the final.  Doubtful (I just really want her to make the semis!).

And for those who weren't watching, Ana was serving at 40-30 at 3-4 and in the middle of the point, she stopped running and doubled over.  At first it looked like she had pulled a stomach muscle on her serve, but it turns out it was a breathing issue.  Ana has had breathing issues like that before, particularly in the heat.  When she played Vera in Indian Wells, she was well on her way to beating her when she had to call the trainer because she felt light headed, her pulse was racing, and she couldn't breathe normally.  So yeah, I've seen it before.  Nothing to get too worried about in the long term.

Count me in the camp of people who like the new Adidas dress.  It takes some getting used to but the key is for AI not to pull it taught.  She has to let the skirt part sit where it's supposed to, then the top kind of billows out, which I like.  But the color looks great.  That said, BRING THE VISOR BACK!!!

So it looks like Ana will need to run the table to make the semis.  I hope she plays Kuz next and not Bepa.  Cuz Bepa looked pretty solid today.  Then again, Ana should know that she can beat Vera and beat her badly.  So confidence-wise, she should be fine.

Last point: Fernando.  Get. Out. Of.  Ana's.  Box.  And I mean that both literally and figuratively.  The minute she doubled over in that third set I thought "Oh shit, she's pregnant."  I don't like having to think these things.

That being said?  Dudes.  The guy is HOT.  Like, LOOK AT HIM.  How was Baby E supposed to concentrate with those eyes staring her down, playing with his lips like that?  I
