Ernie Linguine was busy drooling over Rafa. Ernie once again aquitted himself well against Rafa, but Rafa was able to take the third, winning 75 36 63. Nice job, Ernie. You're still one of those "aw crap, I gotta face that guy in the first round?" players. Nothing but love for you!
In other Linguine news, Reeshard was able to come back and outlast The Sockless Wonder in three sets, 67(3) 64 63. A nice win for Reeshie, but can I just go ahead and say that Mardy Fish looks like an old man on the court? He doesn't move well, nothing other than his serve looks natural, he just swats at everything. Blah.
Speaking of Blah, Blah Blah Blake (trying something new here) crashed out as I expected against the ever pesky Gilles Simon, 36 61 64. Simon is just the type of player that drives the Blah Blahs and the Gonzos of the world crazy. They like to go for their shots, Simon runs them all down, and then they try for too much out of frustration and impatience and they miss.
Here are the rest of the day's results. Quite a fun one!
