Well, it wasn't what we were expecting, but then again, maybe it was. TMF put the smackdown on Forty Deuce Fave JMDP, 63 63. A valiant effort from Crazy Train, but Fed is moving and serving really well in Madrid. A clash with Rafa seems imminent.
In the other quarterfinal, Gael was no match for A-Muz, who dispatched him in surpringly quick form, 62 62. LaMonf may be considered the best athlete on the tour, but Andy can give as good as he gets and in the end LaMonf couldn't match Murray's wit and guile. Andy's a smart player. Sometimes too smart for his own good. But if you leave the ball in the middle of the court and let Andy dictate, you're an idiot. Andy's too smart for that and unlike Blake and Gonzo, he's not gonna get duped into going for crazy shots and hitting UFEs.
So it'll be a rematch of the USO final tomorrow between Fed and Andy.
Will we have a rematch of the Wimbly/RG final on Sunday between Rafa and Fed?
We gonna see.
