After a day of semifinal upsets, all was right in the WTA/ATP world. Venus avenged her 3 match skid against Flava Flav, beating her 76(1) 62. This is Venus' first WTA title of the year.

This win puts Venus in great position to get that last YEC spot.
And in the Battle of the Birds (Baby Owl vs. The Muzzard) Andy came out on top, though it looked for a second there like Commodus was going to stage yet another comeback. But Andy held him off to win 64 76(6) for his second Masters shield of the year and further cementing him as a solid #4 and challenger to the Rafa/Fed monopoly.
