Like, they realize how lame that looks right? Right?
Over at TennisWorld, a few of the Rafa fans like to call this pairing of "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Raffy" as "The Good Guys." I don't buy into this moniker, simply because no dude who goes and breaks Flava Flav's heart can be on a team called The Good Guys.
But anyway, Chuck and Raffy won their doubles match in Madrid today, beating James Blake and The Sockless Wonder. Isn't weird how I don't have a nickname for James Blake? He's so....blah. Nothing ever comes to mind. He's just...James Blake.
Despite his loss in doubles, The Sockless Wonder did manage to win his first round match, beating Darcis 61 64. In the match of the day, Gilly fought off four match points and beat The Zabka, 46 61 76(7). Lucky for MaKiri the couples curse was not in effect today.
Disco Tommy also notched a win over Seppi and Simon Bolelli kept the hotness alive, beating Nico 76(4) 61. I'm tempted to start calling Bolelli "Goth Bols" (a reference to the insistence in the Tennis High School thread that Simon would be one of the goth kids). I'm going to have to mull that one over.
Oh, and Cilic, aka "Tuxedo Mask", beat wee Olly Rochus.
Old Man Schuettler and Big Berd are still to play.
