"I hope and pray Jo can do it, but I just don't think his body is stong enough right how to carry him through so many tournaments." -- Me, yesterday
Augh, me and my stupid gut. JWT retired while up a set against Troiki today in Tokyo. According to the ATP he retired because of an abdominal strain. Poor Jo. Could he be going the way of Baggy?
Seeds 6-8 all went out today, with Disco Tommy losing to Big Berd, JWT retiring, and Misha losing to Rainer. Otherwise, the bracket stayed true to form.
Reeshard demolished Project 45 in front of a home crowd, 1 and 2. But the crowd did have something to cheer about, as local wildcard Suzuki took Daveed to three sets. Is Daveed the JJ of the men's tour (I know I know, game wise, Gilly is)? He just refuses to win easily. Ever match it seems is an adventure.
Meanwhile, it is advised that you stay out of the way from Crazy Train (yeah, I'm starting to go with Crazy Train now as an homage to this crazy JMDP pics). He is rolling and showing zero mercy.
