Top four seeds: JJ, AI, Dinara, Kuz.
JJ and Dinara's half: It sure is nice to be the #1 seed. JJ's got an easy road to the semis. If the seeds hold up she'll play Razzano and Hantuchova before meeting Dinara in the semis. As for Dinara she'll have a slightly tougher road, meeting either Schiavone/Li in the second round and then Bepa in the third. But I'd be an idiot to bet against Baby Beluga, so go ahead and book her for the finals.
AI and Kuz's half: This half is a crap shoot given the recent form of most of the players. Tough second round match for AI, drawing a first time meeting with Cornet. Again, I'm not feeling very good about that matchup. Next up for her would be A-Rad, who will probably have to go through the entire Chinese Olympic team to get there. Kuz has it slightly easier, with a second round match against Shuai Peng (who was a finalist in Guangzhou yesterday) and then either A-Chak, Ski Boots, Domi, or Momo. Here's hoping Ski Boots rebounds from her very disapointing loss to Kata in Tokyo. I'm going to be glass half full here and pick Kuz for the finals. I think she will have gained some confidence and momentum from Tokyo and she'll carry that through here.
