Well it started swimmingly but in the in the end, Ski Boots just couldn't solve the Pong-like defense of our Drama Queen, losing 63, 26, 16. All credit to JJ, who played her best match of the tournament. She was moving well, served at a high percentage, and hit the ball with conviction. All in all, she was more aggressive than Caro in the second half of the match and once JJ took it to her, Caro just didn't have any answers. She's going to look back on the tape of this match and just kick herself for how she started the match so aggressively, stepping into her shots and dictating play, but ended so listlessly, playing defense and letting JJ yank her around.
But a great tournament for Ski Boots. A lot to be proud of here. But as great as her year has been, she has yet to be able to solve the Serbs at the Slams. Ana put her out of AO and RG, and JJ put her out of Wimbly and NYC.
